4技能の中でスピーキング・リスニングに重点を置いて、コミュニケーション能力を身につけることを目標とする。そのために基本的な英語を理解し、使うことができるようになること、さらに適切な場面で適切な話し方ができるようになることを目指しながら、社会人として、教員として言葉をつかうことに対する意識を深めて行く。また正確な英語を身につけるために、ライティングの課題（宿題）も毎時間課すので、自分について、自分が考えていることについて、身近な事柄について、英語で表現することにも慣れるようにする。このライティングはクラスで発表してもらうので、人前でわかるように英語で話す練習も行う。
Emphasis is placed on speaking and listening among the four skills, with the goal of acquiring communication skills. To that end, we aim to be able to understand and use basic English, and to be able to speak appropriately in various situations, while deepening our awareness of how to use our words as members of society and as teachers. In addition, to acquire expressive English, writing assignments will be given (as homework) every class, the aim is to get used to expressing yourself, what you are thinking, and things familiar to you in English.
